In 1992 the Sega Genesis released and was the big video game console Christmas present of my childhood. It was supposed to e for both me and my sister, but I'm pretty sure I definitely played it the most and made her be Tails.

Rank Album Artist Title Label Impression
1 Rage Against the Machine Rage Against the Machine Epic

I remember the first time I heard this album a few years later in a hotel room on a school music trip. I wasn't used to hearing songs with swearing in them so hearing Killing in the Name was a big deal.

2 Various Artists Aladdin Soundtrack Walt Disney

Disney soundtracks continue to stay great. A Whole New World continues to be one of my favorite duets to sing with people, especially when people know the lyrics in other languages.

3 Garth Brooks The Chase Capitol Nashville

That Summer definitely made a strong impression on me when I was younger even though the hunger in the air was not something this boy could recognize.

4 NOFX White Trash, Two Heebs and a Bean Epitaph

Bob is another song I've enjoyed playing covers of with friends over the years, especially the scat singing at the end.

5 Alan Jackson A Lot About Livin' (And a Little 'bout Love) Arista

Did I know where Chattahoochee was? No. Did I know what a hoochie-coochie was? Still Don't. Was Chattahoochie a great song? Yes!

Rank Book Title Author Impression
1 Ishmael Daniel Quinn

One of the first books on ethics, philosophy and the cultural biases of modern civilization that made a big impression on me when I first read it.

Rank Movie Title Impression
1 Wayne's World

One of the most quotable movies ever for me. Party time! Excellent!

2 Aladdin

This movie is on here mostly for the soundtrack as I don't remember this one as well as other Disney Renaissance films.

3 A League of Their Own

I'm not the biggest baseball fan, but I'm definitely a fan of Madonna in this movie.

4 Reservoir Dogs

I've soured on Tarantino over the years, but this film still holds up, despite the violence.

5 The Mighty Ducks

I'm not sure how this film holds up today, but I loved it as a kid even though I never even played hockey.

Video Games

Rank Game Title Developer Impression
1 Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Sega

I've played through this game so many times. I remember one summer spending multiple vacation days trying to complete it, but never being able to finish it until much later in life.

2 Indiana Jones and Fate of Atlantis LucasArts

The real 4th Indiana Jones movie we never got. It's still one of the coolest adventure games of all time with the ability to play through the game with different paths.

3 The Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past Nintendo

My favorite 2D Zelda released in Japan in 1991 and North America in 1992. It still looks and plays great.

4 Super Mario Kart Nintendo

1992 was a great year for the SNES with the introduction of the Mario Kart series. Since this was my first Mario Kart I still enjoy playing it, although the series has progressed quite a lot over the years.
